Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the most common questions about our tree services.

What areas do you serve? +
We serve nine counties across Eastern North Carolina: Nash, Wayne, Wilson, Edgecombe, Halifax, Johnston, Greene, Lenoir, and Pitt counties. Our offices are in Rocky Mount and Goldsboro.
Are you insured? +
Yes. We carry general liability insurance, workers' compensation, and commercial auto insurance on every job. We're happy to provide a certificate of insurance upon request.
Do you offer free estimates? +
Every estimate is free with zero obligation. We'll visit your property, assess the work needed, and provide an honest quote - usually within 24-48 hours of your request.
How quickly can you respond to emergencies? +
We provide 24/7 emergency tree service. For active emergencies like trees on structures or blocking roads, we typically respond within 1-2 hours.
Do you remove the debris after tree removal? +
Yes, full cleanup is included with every tree removal. We chip brush on-site and haul away all logs and debris using our grapple truck.
Can you remove a tree near my house? +
Yes. We specialize in technical removals near structures. Depending on the situation, we use climbing and rigging techniques or bring in a crane for the safest possible removal.
How much does tree removal cost? +
Most residential tree removals range from $300 to $3,000+ depending on tree size, species, location, and complexity. Check our pricing page for detailed ranges, or request a free estimate.
What is forestry mulching? +
Forestry mulching uses a specialized machine (our Takeuchi TL12R2 with an FAE mulcher head) to grind standing brush, small trees, and stumps into mulch in a single pass. No hauling needed - the mulch stays on-site as ground cover.
Do you offer stump grinding with tree removal? +
Stump grinding is available as an add-on to any tree removal. Many customers add it at the time of removal for convenience. We grind stumps 6-8 inches below grade.
What payment methods do you accept? +
We accept cash, checks, and major credit cards. Payment is due upon completion of work unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
Do I need a permit to remove a tree? +
In most of Eastern NC, permits are not required for tree removal on private property. However, some municipalities have tree ordinances. We'll let you know if your specific situation requires any permits.
How far in advance do I need to schedule? +
We recommend scheduling 1-2 weeks in advance for non-emergency work during our busy season (spring and summer). During slower months, we can often schedule within a few days.
